Linking to 图书馆 资源
If you are providing 链接 to electronic 图书馆 content, we can make sure you have stable perma链接 that allow access from on- and off- campus. Best practices for copyright compliant use of 图书馆-licensed electronic content are to use 链接 to the content, not post full text materials. The license agreements for electronic content almost always explicitly allow 链接 to electronic content. 另外, using the perma链接 allows us to gather more accurate data about the use of purchased 图书馆 materials, and allow access to the content in your courses to persist from semester to semester.
Use Persistent or Permanent Links to 分享 Articles
To share or bookmark a link to specific resource within a 图书馆 database, you will want to use what is called a persistent link rather than using the link from your browser’s address bar. The location of this persistent link (often referred to as a permanent or permalink) will vary by database.
Some common databases that offer this feature include:
- ArticlesPlus, CINAHL and other EBSCO databases
- To share a set of search results: click on the 分享 menu at the top of the results list. Copy the URL that appears under the section that says 使用永久链接.
- To share a single article or other item: look for the 工具 section to the right of the page, and click 永久链接. Copy the URL that appears above the article title.
- ProQuest databases like 我们新闻stream:
- To share a set of search results: click on the 保存搜索/警报 link at the top of the results page. Click the option that says 获取搜索链接. Copy the URL that appears in the pop up window. These 链接 expire after one year.
- To share a single article or other item: Click on the Details 选项卡并查找 文档的URL row. 复制此URL.
- JSTOR:
- The sharable URL is found under the “我”菜单 on the left side of the page.
- To share a single article: look for the url 直接 在引文下面 on the left side of the page, just above the "Cite this item" button.
- The link will begin with "http://www-jstor-org.proxy.图Books馆.OHIO.edu/stable"
- 新闻全文数据库大学 (previously known as Lexis Nexis):
- To share a set of search results: at the top of the search results, click row动. Choose the option to 连结至本页 and copy the URL that appears in the pop-up window.
- To share a single article: look for the row动 link in the grey bar that includes the document title. Choose the option to 连结至本页 and copy the URL that appears in the pop-up window.
- PubMed / MEDLINE: This database is run by the National 图书馆 of Medicine and is open to anyone to use. This does not, however, give everyone access to the full-text content. Using a persistent link with the 库’ 代理 URL will ensure that you get access to full-text content provided by the 库 or a link to the 库 Full Text Finder! 服务.
- To share a set of search results: add http://proxy.图Books馆.OHIO.edu/login?url= in front of the URL from the address bar of your browser. The resulting link will look like this: http://proxy.图Books馆.OHIO.edu/login?url= http://www.ncbi.nlm.国家卫生研究院.gov / p…

- To share a single article: look for the 永久链接 listed in the article information.

To link to a database, copy and paste the persistent link found in the 爱丽丝 record, as shown here:

To share access with your students to your Subject Librarian's profile page, 图书馆指南, and 图书馆 Guide Pages, copy the URL to the page you want to link to and add it to your course. For example, the URL for librarian Chad Boeninger's profile page is http://www.OHIO.edu/图Books馆/about/staff/boeninge.
